Application dates are between January 23, 2012 and February 6, 2012. We will place 3500 families on our active waitlist.

The head of household for the person or family requesting an application must be at least 18 years old at the time of application. Only one application per family will be accepted. Only one application per envelope will be accepted. Envelope containing application must be clearly marked HCV APPLICATION. Any applications received or postmarked before January 23, 2012 or after February 6, 2012 will be returned unopened. Applications without proof of address, (utility bill, driver’s license copy) incomplete, illegible applications or applications not signed by Head of Household will be returned for resubmission.
Eligibility of applicants will be based on the Section 8 Voucher program income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Applicants must have annual household incomes no greater than the following limits by family size:
1 Family Member: $30,550.00
2 Family Members $34,900.00
3 Family Members $39,250.00
4 Family Members $43,600.00
5 Family Members $47,100.00
6 Family Members $50,600.00
7 Family Members $54,100.00
8 Family Members $57,600.00
Completed applications will be placed in a pool for possible selection. PathStone will use computer generated random lottery selection. Out of that pool we will place 3500 applicants on our waitlist. There is no guarantee you will be placed on the waitlist and being placed on the waitlist is no guarantee of assistance. The Housing Choice Voucher Program does not provide emergency assistance and is not a homeless prevention program. Currently the average wait time is at least three years.
Only those applicants who make the lottery selection for waitlist placement will be notified in writing no later than May 23, 2012. We will not notify the applicants that did not make the lottery selection.
